Scott LePenske Named DEVNET Inc. Vice President of Sales and Marketing

DEVNET Inc. is pleased to welcome Scott LePenske as its new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. LePenske brings nearly 30 years of experience working with Local Government, including counties and cities throughout the United States for the last 16 years.

LePenske will be working with DEVNET’s Sales and Marketing staff to maintain and expand the client base in Illinois and drive new business in states where DEVNET currently has an integrated Land Records Management solution in place.

“I have had the great opportunity to work with and meet some wonderful people throughout the Midwest,” LePenske said. “I’m looking forward to building my existing relationships and starting new ones. We want to grow DEVNET’s business in a smart and reasonable way. The key to success in the government market is growing smart. You don’t necessarily have to take every piece of the pie.”

As a member of the Illinois Association of County Officials (IACO) for the past 11 years, LePenske has worked with the organization to build and promote the IACO Scholarship program and its spring golf outing. “I’m very proud of how the IACO scholarship program has grown over the past 10 years,” he remarked. “Some bright and talented kids have been awarded scholarships, and their parents and grandparents should be very proud.”

Over the years, LePenske has become familiar with DEVNET through his connection with longtime DEVNET Legislative SME and Illinois Project Manager Steve Connell.

“I have known of DEVNET for many, many years and have built a relationship with several existing staff members,” LePenske noted. “I have had the pleasure of building these friendships over the last 10 years, and I share their passion for the local government software industry.”

DEVNET Awards Annual Scholarships at the Spring IACO Conference

This week DEVNET attended the annual Spring Illinois Association of County Officials (IACO) Conference hosted in Springfield, Illinois. We enjoyed spending time with our clients, marketing our solutions and services, and showing our support as a Platinum Sponsor of the IACO organization.

Illinois is one of DEVNET Incorporated’s core markets. We serve 55 of the 102 Illinois Counties, making DEVNET the preferred provider of integrated Property Tax Software Solutions in the state.

While at the conference, Tanya Smith, Vice President of Marketing at DEVNET and an IACO Vendor Representative, along with Bruce Harris and the IACO Board of Directors, presented scholarships to three very deserving applicants on behalf of DEVNET.

This year’s recipients were honored with scholarships that will help further their education in the pursuit of their careers:

  • Dylan Barnett of Carrollton, Illinois. Dylan received a $1,000.00 scholarship to attend Eastern Illinois University. He will be majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Dylan is the son of Jill Waldheuser, the Greene County Chief County Assessment Officer, and the grandson of Deborah Banghart, the Greene County Clerk.
  • Mariah Logan of Mason, Illinois. Mariah received a $500.00 scholarship to attend Victory Bible College. She will be majoring in Music Ministry and hopes to become a Ministry Pastor. Mariah is the granddaughter of Kevin D. Logan, the Clay County Supervisor of Assessments.
  • Luke D. Marsh of Norris, Illinois. Luke received a $500.00 scholarship to attend Southeastern Illinois University. He will be majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Luke is the son of Chris Marsh, the White County Coroner.

DEVNET has been contributing to the IACO scholarship fund for eight years. We feel it is both rewarding and a wonderful opportunity to show our support of continuing education and the IACO.
